Apologies for Construction Disruption

We are sorry about the inconvenience already caused for many of our regular customers and the disruption is going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

But we don’t plan to miss a race day.

Soon we’ll have to close Legends, the popular restaurant and lounge on the grandstand’s ground floor, as well as the entire second floor of the grandstand complex. We will lose the food court there and the large open concourse space with its casual seating, television sets and pari-mutuel sellers.

Demands upon the Homestretch and Finish Line lounges and the Upper Clubhouse will become intense upon occasion, but we would urge patience and co-operation. Staff will do their best to minimize customer inconvenience, but they, too, will be dealing with added pressure and discomfort.

Our fans have been awesome supporters in everything we have tried to do to save and build our industry. This dislocation and occasional crowding, we hope, will be viewed by all as just another contribution to what has been a memorable team effort. Share tables. Make new friends.

We will have a taste of the new era when the interim facility opens this March, but the new day will truly dawn in April, 2005.
